Graham became the Managing Director of VWS in 2006 after driving the organisation’s Dundee office to notable success over 8 years. Graham is a passionate leader and is committed to ensuring VWS delivers the highest quality fire safety, security and networking solutions to our clients. With an unwavering commitment to quality Graham makes sure that the service provided by VWS is second to none. This commitment to quality permeates throughout the services offered by VWS and ensures our clients receive a first class experience from the initial phone call right through to installation and ongoing maintenance.
Graham has spent his whole working life in the security industry, 25 years. He was the Technical Director at VWS from 2006 to 2016 and was approached in the summer of 2016 to try a new role within the company , the role of business development Director , a role which he happily accepted.
VWS have been trading since 1986 and have been providing great customer satisfaction to our happy customers through the years. We thought it would be a good idea to start telling other people about this and therefore Graham took the challenge of developing the business into something bigger. We love the fact that the majority of our sales come from referrals and word of mouth but Graham is the person you need to speak to if you want to find out how VWS approach things differently from our competitors.
Brian has been in the security industry for over thirty years with the last ten as Director of Sales at VWS. This has given Brian great insight into the development of the industry and a vast knowledge of what actually works as a solution for our diverse client base. His belief is that customers will keep coming back if you provide them with a system that does actually meet their needs and not that of the salesman’s target.
Lindsay has been the Operations Manager at VWS since 2007. His background was as a logistics manager for a large distribution company in central Scotland. He has applied his organisational and customer service skills to great effect to give VWS a first class service delivery that we can guarantee.
Lindsay is well known amongst our clients for bending over backwards to help them resolve a situation with a happy and polite attitude. He has also become a pivotal part in VWS maintaining our ISO 9001 standards to ensure our clients receive an accredited quality service.
Lindsay became a Director with VWS in 2018.
Chris joined VWS in 2007 as an engineer. It became clear very quickly that despite his young age Chris was a very exceptional engineer. It was no surprise to see Chris rise to becoming a supervisor within the organisation. His technical ability combined with a desire to provide real value to our customers through quality service made him a perfect fit at VWS. He has continued to learn and gain new qualifications throughout his career at VWS and has developed a high level of knowledge and expertise in his field. This commitment to continuous learning has made Chris a core part of the VWS team and his expertise helps shape the future direction of VWS. With Chris’ passion, drive and thirst for knowledge he helps us maintain our commitment to being Scotland’s number one service provider in the fire safety, security and networking industry.
Scott took over the operation of our Dundee office in 2006 and came to VWS as a very self-motivated engineer who had gained an in-depth knowledge of computing. His knowledge has helped VWS develop a service that delivers the complete package in this technology led industry. Aside from technical ability Scott has an excellent customer focussed attitude that is proven by the large number of repeat custom he generates.
Patrick served his apprenticeship with VWS as an engineer and achieved top marks for his college work. Patrick continued this high level of achievement whilst working in the field and soon showed a talent for liaising with clients with his polite and honest manner generating multiple enquiries from customers. In 2013 Pat was offered an opportunity to have a trial in our sales department assisting the team. Pat has been there ever since and has since developed into a valued member of the sales team. You will experience Patrick’s helpful and diligent approach when you contact VWS for assistance with your fire safety, security and networking needs.
Kerri has been with VWS since 2008. Kerri performs all the administration required to process the orders received to ensure NACOSS compliance. This involves the creation of comprehensive documentation for the engineers and client. Kerri also helps with client liaison adding to the friendly approach of VWS.
Estimator & Surveyor
Kenny joined the team in August 2018 primarily to undertake Fire Designs and surveys, ensuring that all our systems are compliant to the relevant British standards. He has worked in the Fire and Security industry for over 16 years and has intensive knowledge in Fire Alarm systems and Fire suppression systems. He is also responsible for carrying out engineer audits and providing additional hands on training to our qualified engineers. Kenny holds units 1 , 4, 5 and 6 from the Fire Industry Association in conjunction to this he also has IOSH managing safely , IPAF , CSCS and BESC (Access, movement & egress – Substations).
Estimator & Surveyor
Drew joined VWS in 2009 as a security systems installation engineer. He is a fully qualified electrician and has worked in the Fire and Security industry for over 17 years . It was clear to see that Drew was a very meticulous engineer due to the high quality of his installation work and was always destined to move on to designing , estimating and surveying. He was appointed as a Fire and Security Estimator & Surveyor with VWS in 2016 and continues to be as meticulous now as he was when he was an engineer.
Jack joined VWS in 2016 as a Business Administrator Apprentice. In his 1st year he was part of our Admin team where he learned skills that would allow him to provide our clients with a first-class service. Jack quickly progressed in the business as he joined our Production team in his 2nd year and then joined our Finance team which took him to the end of his apprenticeship.
Over the course of Jack’s 3-year apprenticeship he has shown great determination, Passion, customer focus and valuable knowledge of the company processes.
Jack became our Quality Manager in 2019 and is responsible for leading and maintaining the companies Quality Management System and implementing the system to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of VWS’s business processes. Jack also takes the lead role in ensuring the company achieves further accreditation’s.
