Following continued rapid demand for our services VWS are now looking for a Sales Estimator/Designer to join our team.
About the role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Technical Design and Estimating small to large fire, security & care projects. Working with the sales team to meet deadlines and design technical security solutions. Managing M&E tenders from reading project specifications, understanding design requirements and creating estimates and system design whilst complying with current legislation.
In addition to this role, you will assist the sales team with the day-to-day enquiries and work with sub-contractors to obtain quotations and labour for works.
Experience & Knowledge
Experience and excellent knowledge in technical design and estimating within the Fire & Security industry is essential for you to be a successful candidate for this position. You must be confident in your work, reliable, conscientious, hardworking and must have a positive “can do” approach.
Fire & Security Sales Estimator/ Designer Qualities

What you will bring
To be considered for this position you must possess good knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Fire & Security Sales Estimator essential knowledge and Experience
- Care communication knowledge preferred.
- Good knowledge and understanding of BS 7671.
- Good knowledge and understanding of BS 5839.
- Complete full 7858 screening with a standard DBS check.
- Industry recognised formal qualifications (Desired but not essential).
- Good knowledge of industry leading manufactures package.
