Our Business
VWS Ltd operates within the Fire and Security industry, providing the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of fire and security systems for both public and private sector clients.
We operate throughout Scotland and Northern England and work closely with a network of trusted suppliers and subcontractors to deliver our services.

Governance and Responsibility
Responsibility for anti-slavery measures is embedded throughout our organisation:
- Policy and Compliance: Senior Management oversees the implementation and annual review of our anti-slavery policies.
- Risk Assessment: Annual internal risk reviews identify potential modern slavery risks in operations and supply chains.
- Due Diligence: Our HR and procurement teams monitor suppliers and workforce partners for compliance.
- Training and Awareness: Employees receive training to help identify, prevent, and report modern slavery risks.

Whistleblowing Policy
We encourage employees, suppliers, and partners to report any concerns about unethical or illegal behaviour, including potential instances of modern slavery or human trafficking.

Employee Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct outlines the standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour expected of all employees.
Supplier Code of Conduct
All suppliers are required to uphold ethical practices, provide safe working conditions, and treat workers fairly and lawfully.
Any serious breach of these standards may result in termination of our relationship with that supplier.
Due Diligence Process
We carry out due diligence when engaging new suppliers and regularly review existing ones to ensure compliance with our ethical standards.
Our process includes:
- Assessing supply chain risks related to geography, industry, or product type.
- Evaluating supplier practices, including labour standards and worker welfare.
Conducting periodic reviews and audits of suppliers where appropriate
Training and Awareness
All staff receive training on identifying and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
Training covers:
- Recognising the signs of modern slavery.
- How to report and escalate concerns.
- Understanding purchasing practices that help prevent exploitation.
- Accessing external support such as the Modern Slavery Helpline and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority.
We also promote awareness through internal communications, guidance materials, and ongoing education.
